The Italian Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AME) together with the European Society of Endocrinology
are launching the second Early Career Course in Clinical Endocrinology with the endorsement of the Italian Society of Endocrinology.
The course will be addressed to a limited number of young (less than 40 yo) Italian and European participants,
aiming to favour a friendly climate and to stimulate clinical discussion driven
by the most relevant Italian and European experts in their fields.
The course will address some of the most relevant topics of endocrine disease.
At each session of the course, after the introductory lectures, participants will be divided into “working groups”
to discuss complex clinical cases related to the topics addressed by previous lectures.
The addressed topics will be:
• Thyroid: replacement treatment for hypothyroidism. Use of thyroid kinase inhibitors for advancedthyroid cancer
• Hypoparathyroidism: how to manage a neglected disease in 2025
• Obesity: the landscape of new drugs, the tailored management for the individual patient andperspectives on monogenic obesities.
• Endogenous hypercortisolism: an update on clinical management.
• Bone metabolism: advanced treatment for osteoporosis and the clinical management of their side effects.
• Vitamin D deficiency: lights and shadows about guidelines
• Adrenogenital syndromes: the unmet needs.
• Neuroendocrine tumors: is there still a role for somatostatin receptor ligands?
